NWR-Gift for a baptism

What is the proper gift to give for a baptism. The only thing I know is that when I was baptized people gave bonds, don't know if this is old school or still a popular gift idea. Please help I am a procrastinator-the baptism is upstate tommorow.

Re: NWR-Gift for a baptism

All of the gifts that my nieces and nephews got for their baptisms over the past five years were mostly checks. They got a few bonds and they also got some mementos like crosses, precious moments, jewelry, etc.

Re: NWR-Gift for a baptism

I recently went to a baptism and my dh and i gave the parents a memory box that you can put a picture of the baby on and an imprint of their hand or foot. It was a nice sized solid wood box that looks like it was more money than it was.

They loved it cause they can save the baptism mementos in it. Here's the link: Click here

Re: NWR-Gift for a baptism

Thanks for sharing, that box is a great idea. It can only be ordered online and won't be here in time unfortunately but I will keep it in mind as a gift in the future. My friend is also pregnant now, so it would make a great gift for her.
