*** October 6th LIW GTG is still headed for NYC ***

Hi everyone. As some of you may recall, I posted some time ago about having an '07 GTG and a Latina Brides GTG. I've received quite a few messages about both so it looks like we're combining both to have one big FABU LIW GTG in NYC. I've been FM'ing back and forth with quite a few of you (thanks for all of your ideas and input), so here are the details we have thus far for everyone else to see:

DATE: Friday, October 6, 2006 in NYC.
VENUE: Here are the three finalists .........

CHARRASCARIA PLATAFORMA (although it is a bit pricey)
FASHION 40 (the crowd favorite)
CARMINE'S in Times Square (great locale for a crowd like ours with family style food - YUM!)
THE TIME LOUNGE in the TIME HOTEL in TImes Square - great appe-teezers, good music, yummy drinks in the heart of NYC.

Many have also suggested eating at Carmines and having drinks at Fashion 40 afterward just to cap off the evening.

Either way, the GTG is in full swing so post here if you can make it or FM me. I will periodically update this thread with info. but please feel free to post any other suggestions for restaurants/lounges, bars,etc. as we are still undecided on the exact venue for the evening.

Looking forward to making this a GTG to remember.

Ok ladies. Just wanted to give you a heads up. I stopped by Fashion 40 today while on my way to see a printer about our invites. The place is great and when I spoke to the party planner, she said we would be well taken care of. They actually do serve appetizers and we would have a little section just for us (probably upstairs).

I say Fashion 40 is the perfect place for our get together. The time still looks to be between 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm, but I can always make it 6:30 pm if people need a little more time to get into the City.

And due to popular demand, the date is still going to be October 6th so it looks like Friday Night is definitely Girls Night Out.



ETA: I know there are more ladies out there who can join us. Post here and I'll add you to the list. It's going to be a great night.

Yes Fashion 40 sounds fun! I cant eat Carmines until I am like 80, I want to stay trim for my man!!! That food is sooooo good!

That's an understatement!! But that's ok - we'll make Fashion 40 our NOBU and everyone will want to be like us.

*** LIW GTG IS STILL NYC BOUND (FH's WELCOME) - 10/6/06 ***

Hi everybody. I know there has been a lot happening on these boards as of late, but I just wanted to let you all know that the October 6th GTG is still taking place at FASHION 40 next Friday night.

I know many if you have already met during some other GTG's, but for those who haven't had the opportunity to get together, we now have another chance to meet, sip some drinks, and partake in some good food.

I still need to get a final head count of everyone who will be attending in the next few weeks so please FM me with your info. or just post your names here. I'll be bumping this thread until then so people can add or update information.

For those who have already FM'ed me, I'm looking forward to seeing you all there. It's going to be a fun night.
