Re: October Girls UpdateI can't believe I lost my birth certificate. I always know where it is and now it's missing. My Dad has volunteered to go up to the town of oyster bay for me to get a certified copy. Isn't he the best!!!!!! Then it's off to get the marriage certificate. Has anyone gone to get one in Suffolk county, where and how long did it take? Not sure which office to go to. Message edited 9/23/2004 2:16:16 PM. | |||

Re: October Girls UpdateWe got our marriage license in the Babylon Town Hall, it only took us about 30 minutes. You just need your birth certificates with a seal, photo ID and $45.

Re: October Girls UpdateWell, out of my moms guests, there was about 5 no's...his side...so many said No...a lot of them are from NJ is what they say....BUT...if tables were turned and my wedding was in NJ, you can bet your @ss that all my guests would take the trip....I say its all about if they want to be there or not...if they want to, they wll find the way...

Posted by laudipop Me too! And I haven't even gotten responses from my mom or FH's! Not to mention all of our friends, who probably think I just know they're coming so they don't need to send them. Girls, this is such an eye-opening experience for me! I think I've always been one of those people who sends the response back on the day it's due. But never again! From now on, I'm sending them back the day I get them.

There's so many layers on the bottom....Do you think I need a slip???? Finally got in touch with the seamstress and got an appointment for Sunday for my first fitting. I'm starting to get nervous that it's all not getting done. I feel like no one is getting married on Sunday the 24th of October but me. So many on the 23rd. Now people are responding but not putting their name on the RSVP card (two this week)...UGGHHH!!! Would have been nice to make one less phone call.
