my mom and I went shopping today for a dress for her. everything that came with a jacket she claimed was too matronly for her, and everything else seemed to young for her.

it's going to be tough finding something for her.

My mother felt like all the MOB dresses were way too matronly, too. So she ended up buying a dress from Eva's in Sayville. It's a boutique with lots of one-of-a-kind dresses, Bob Mackey's and other designer dresses.

I personally like it. It's very modern but not over the top. Very nice!

I also really like it. And that bias cut on the skirt is very flattering, plus it looks nice when they dance! My MIL wore a dress in a similar color with that skirt and she looked awesome. I think it's very appropriate...but being that it might be chilly, wouldn't she want a jacket?

My Mom didn't like the matronly dresses either, so she wore a bridesmaids dress to my brother's wedding. She chose one that was two pieces, strapless, with beading on the top and an A-line skirt with a slight train. To look more 'MOG' she had a wrap made to match. She looked fantastic and got complimented all night! It was definitely sexy and classy without being too youthful or matronly.
