Pictures of bouquet with single red rose...

I plan on having a yellow rose bouquet. I want to honor my Dad by placing a single red rose in my bouquet. This way I will always be reminded of him when I see my bouquet that day or see photos of the wedding afterwards. It will be a visual symbol that he is there with me on my wedding day.

FI says it might look like a bulls-eye, but it doesn't have to be placed directly in the middle. Have any past bride's done this? Does anyone have a photo they can post of a bouquet like this? Has anyone ever seen a bouquet that had a single flower of a different color? TIA

No I dont have a picture of that but it sounds like a beautiful idea. And if it looks too much like a bulls-eye, maybe use one white rose in the middle instead.

I can see why your FH would think that. Maybe have a few red roses in there, to strengthen his memory? Or maybe put a red rose in your hair?

Why not go to Micheals and check out their silk flowers. Whenever I need help with bo-ks I just go there and make a bo-k of the silk flowers and see what the bo-k I would want would look like. Take some yellow silk flower and one red see how it looks. That way you can try to work around it.

I don't have a pic, sorry. But it sounds like a beautiful idea. What if you didn't put it in the middle, but made it the rose closest to you?

Or maybe wear it as a corsage? Be a little different and have the rose closes to your heart.

I definitely won't put it in the center, but maybe a dark or light pink may be better than the red. I want it to stand out, but not look weird. Thanks for all your suggestions!

I like that idea, and so I was thinking: why not have the outermost row of roses be red and the center ones yellow? So it will look like an edge of red. That way, no matter how you hold the boquet, there is always a red rose close to you, reminding you of your father.

I like the corsage idea- you'll put your bo-k down at some point but not a corsage! It's a very sweet idea either way!

I think the bouquet is a beautiful idea and very touching. My only suggestion is maybe not red, maybe something less of a contrast in color - try pink, cream, or a multi-color. And I also like the idea of it not being in the center.
