Please check my invitation wording (doe it make sense???)

hello ladies,
I found an invitation and i am ready to order them i would like to wod it as follows does this make sense

Because you have shared in their lives
by your friendship and love
Mr Andrew Anthony M*******
reqests the honour of your presence
at the marriage of his daughter
Vanessa Marie
to Brian S*********

(the rest is standard)

My mother is deceased and i heard it was improper to include her on the invitation, im just not sure of the 'his' part but i guess there is no other way.

I appreciate all your help I will post a pic when i get one!
Thanks Again,
Vanessa

It sounds fine to me, but I know that if you ask when you order them, they will help you out :)

Re: Please check my invitation wording (doe it make sense???)

Improper, your Mom not all....if you want to honor her check with the people who are doing your invitation they have specific wording for deceased parents. My FH has the same situation regarding his Dad and we're including him on the invite and program.

Re: Please check my invitation wording (doe it make sense???)

I think it is improper bc unfortunatley your mother cannot be hosting the event or requesting someone to be there...
