queens girls (and even western nassau girls)

I need a salon that can style my hair, preferably near bayside but western nassau is fine too. I tried calling christie & co but they have a black out and can't make an appt for me Maybe I sounded too poor on the phone. Can anyone recommend a different place? Thanks.

I was going there but my regular girl quit, is there anyone there you can recommend? The last time I went I really wasn't happy with who they sent me to.

Re: queens girls (and even western nassau girls)

would you be willing to go to astoria? if so let me know

or what about forest hills, everybody talks about spectrym and say they are great. I never used them, although ill have to say i did call once to make an appt to get my hair done and i ended up telling them to forget it bc the girl on the phone was annoying me. She couldnt even tell me the price of something. I just wanted it curled with big loose curls for a wedding i was attending, and asked how much it was and she said depends on how long your hair is so you have to come in, i told her exactly how long my hair was and she still said she didnt know but it would be $75 or higher, i said ok and what is higher up to what price, she wouldnt answer. I said im not going to come in and then you charge me over $100 just to curl my hair, even $75 was alot to start with just to curl it. But people do rave about them

Everybody also says great things about maximus salon, its near roosevelt field mall

thanks denise! I think I will call maximus. It's hard to get a good styling job the last place I went to the woman did a crappy job and then charged me $85 on top of it. I came home and did it myself!

Try Claudine & Co in Howard Beach 718-738-4056. Make your appointment with either Claudine or Lauren. They are excellent.

I just got a trim with slight layers, nothing crazy. Here are some pics but I'll be deleting them in a few. Sorry for the weird faces.

Sorry, I missed where you wanted a style not a cut.
I would try Maximus then b/c I'm not sure how Anntaj does styling.

if you need styling then i really recommend this salon in astoria called friends. Ive gone to them a couple of times to get it styled for an event and they do such an amazing job. And when im there theres also so many girls in there who get their hair curled, finger waves, the big loose curls and everyones hair always comes out beautiful.

I like Maximus. Got my hair done there for my cousin's wedding. They are super nice and did a great job. And it wasn't too expesive.

I always go to Christies because my cousin works there..they are kinda snotty and way overpriced, but I love the stylist I use and of course my cousin who cuts my hair.

i actually thought their prices were really good. Ive heard others on here say they are overpriced but i thought they were less expensive than others. Maybe depends on what you get. For make up they charge $30 for regular make up and $60 for airbrush which is the lowest ive seen. And they did my hair, all big loose curls and charged me $40.
