So, I visited My Dress Tonight at Kleinfeld's (WITH PICS!!!!!)

It was rough taking pics ladies! The attendant was in the room the whole time! Even when I sent her out to get me other dresses, someone else was in the room!

So, I apologize in advance for the cr@ppy pictures....but, it's THE ONE, and I had to try it on one more time with my MOH to get her honest opinion.

Just a little background:
It's a Monique LHuillier, and is over $5,500 and I refuse to spend that on a dress I'll wear once. So, I'm having it custom made by a dress maker for $500. I took more pics of the material and lace so that she can match the lace as closely possible.

It's a three piece (well four if you count the sash!) Basically an A-Line skirt with lace detailing, a camisole, the long sleeve jacket that's all lace, and then the sash to tie it all together.

My MOH, who's my absolute best friend cried....I didn't cry...but my MOH did and that was the BEST feeling I've seriously had in my entire life!

NOOOOOOOOO! I'm so mad about that! I had to take pics of it in pieces b/c the attendant was so up my butt when I had it all on, and I couldn't take pictures!

She came in with each piece ONE AT A TIME...I couldn't believe it. They have tighter 'Security' there than the White House!

Well, I went with my MOH to check out my dress and try to sneak pics for my seamstress...but our sole intention was to go and help my friend who's wedding is in November '06 find her dress.

She was freaking out earlier about her having a negative experience at Kleinfeld's and being considered a 'Plus Size Bride'....but she was so at ease!

We spoke about it on the way home, and she was delighted. She didn't find THE ONE, but her experience overall with Kleinfeld's was VERY POSITIVE!

The ladies we worked with were very honest and helpped her put her ideas to actual dresses, and advised what would look better than not.

Most of the samples there are size 10's and she was able to squeeze into them, and didn't feel terrible at all.

Rest assured all ladies...it is not as bad of an experience you might habe built in your head.

It's such a gorgeous bridal salon though!

I absolutely LOVE it! If I was having my wedding in cooler weather that would be the dress for me. You lucky girl you!

Yes, the sash is exactly what anyone would expect to see...a long thick piece of satin (light weight) light gold piece of fabric...and get this...it was $250!!!!!!!!!

I laughed, and the saleswoman said 'Listen, you didn't hear it from me, but you can go to a craft store, and buy this exact thing for $1 a yard!!!!!!
