Songs at ceremony

I decided that I don't want the normal wedding march and all of that at the ceremony. Do you think it would be alright to have the instrumental version of a contemporary song even though the lyrics make the song not exactly the happiest song? I love the instrumental version, but I think only the younger people would know the actual lyrics to the song.... Decisions, decisions! lol
