Time frame suggestions

How much time did you girls leave between your ceremony and reception? Just need to get a few thoughts on this. Thanks!

Re: Time frame suggestions

I think it depends on where you are taking your pics. My photographer suggested 3:00 church for a 6:30 reception. Hope this helps

Re: Time frame suggestions

it also depends on time of year...I originally had the church start at 315 for a november wedding... then found out it gets dark about 430... I wouldnt be out of the church until that time so i switched it to 145

Re: Time frame suggestions

Thanks ladies! I am going to a church tomorrow, and was wondering how much time to leave between that and my reception which starts at 8:30 on a Friday night next year in July. I was thinking 5:30 would be good so I could take pics AND go to the cocktail hour. But maybe its too much time in between.

Re: Time frame suggestions

My church is at 3:00 and coctail hour starts at 6:00. My photographer said we have enough time in between for pictures so I can make it to the coctail hour. That is my favorite part so I want to be there for it.
