UPDATED AT THE BOTTOM(IM A A$$)Kinda wedding related....Ever feel like nobody likes you anymore?

Im having a really bad time right now and Im sure it will pass. I think of myself as a nice person and always there when anyone needs something unconditionally however I know I can be a reall Bit** if need be. Some of you know that I've been having problems with my mom and sister so they are not coming to my wedding well I've noticed that two old friends who I dont really talk to all the time anymore because we've kinda grown in seperate ways so we speak maybe twice a year are not returning any of my phone calls or emails! I dont think I could've done anything to upset them because like I said we dont really see each other except at get togethers or at our birthdays we always call each other. As a matter of fact I didnt even know my friend was pregnant until I got an invite to her shower and she was already 7 months! I dont speak to my inlaws for numerous reasons with DH and I recently got in touch with someone I havent seen since we were 12yrs. old(we were bestfriends)and they too stopped replying to emails. My cousins kids dont reply to my emails. I told DH if Im doing something to piss these people off I'd like to know what it is because I def. didnt mean too and if this keeps up Im not going to have anyone to invite to our wedding. It'll be very empty in the room! Sorry it's been on my mind and I dont really have anyone to talk to! Thanks

Thanks it's okay like I said Im sure it'll pass and it'll be nothing but I just wish I knew what it was. I've left numerous messages on home and cell phones and emails. Especially with the one who is prego because I wanted to see her before she has the baby and since I couldnt go to the shower I wanted to drop off a gift. It just seems so weird that no one is returning my calls or emails. Just needed to vent it somewhere. Thanks for listening.

I can sort of relate.
Right after I got engaged, my "BFF" (we were new friends but great friends and even got matching tats b/c yes, i'm a stupid idiot) just stopped speaking to me.
For literally no reason.
I saw her on Christmas Eve, exchanged gifts. Talked online all week, got engaged on New Year's Eve and when i called and left her the message... she just never returned it. Or any of my other calls, or emails or im's or anything.
She didn't even bother reading my messages on myspace. it was wierd.

That's the most drastic example, but it happened with a few people after i got engaged.

I hear it's really not that uncommon.

I'm sorry!!!!! It probably isn't you, everyone is just in different places in their life right now. I think everything will work out!!! Just know that FH is there for you and so are we!!! Good luck...

Aww- so sorry to hear all that. Sometimes moments like these (which should be happy ones) bring out negativity in others for some odd reason. As for your friends- it just may be that you are all gradually growing apart and right now you are taking it more personal because of what you are gojng through.

In the long run I truly hope everything works out for you.

Did you try asking them why they stopped responding? It seems strange if like u say- you dont know what it could be.

I'm sorry they are being like that. I wish people would just say whats on their mind instead of avoiding people

I totally agree with you! If there is a problem why not address it instead of avoiding it and honestly I dont know what it could be so I am going to send a card for the baby today and see if I get any response if not then I guess I just will never know! As far as my mom and sister and my inlaws I know what the problems there are and I have no interst in fixing them that I know is all them it's just upsetting that it happens all at once. My cousins kids no idea there either.

Thanks! I know them since Im 13 and I'll tell ya I dont know why either. I was at her bridal shower and everyone was thrilled to see me(not to pat myself on the back)and at the wedding DH and I had a great time and spoke to her after that. Like I said we dont talk that often so I dont know but then not to find out she was pregnant until I get a shower invite was alittle hurtful and when I called my other friend(her bestfriend)left a message on her machine that I couldnt go to the babyshower but call me so we can all get together and I can give her something for the baby I never got a call back then I called again never got a call back. Then I sent an email to my friend that was prego just asking what was new havent heard from you blah blah blah(couldnt tell her I knew she was prego because it wouldve blown the shower surprise)so she calls me back and tells me she's 7months pregnant! I told her I wanted to get together before she had the baby and I never heard from her again. I left messages about a month or two ago that I had the day off and wanted to drop by to see her before she popped and she never returned my call. I left two emails that were never responded to and I left two messages at home and one on her cell that I wanted to know if she had the baby or what was going on because I havent heard back from her and I'd love to see her before or after the baby and nothing!! So yeah have no clue!

Also the thing that gets me is that I feel like Im either weeding people out of my life or Im being weeded out of peoples lives all at the same time so hence the name of my post!

sorry you're feeling this way. The reason why they dont respond is probably bc like you said, you all talk just a few times a year. If you called them more often and hung out with them a little bit more then im sure it would be different.

No I have no idea! I called the hospital to see if she had the baby and they had no record of her being there and Im sure her husband or my other friend would've returned my calls then but no has!

No not really! We've been friends for over 20years and this is the way we've always been. Like I said I was just at her wedding and bridal shower and just talked to her in June for her birthday! She calls me on mine in June and I call her for hers in June. Even if we dont speak for a year we always call in June. So it has nothing to do with not calling each other alot or hanging out enough.

No really it's not that I feel like no one likes me literally I just feel like all of the sudden no one is responding to me anymore My two friends are bothering me though because it's never like this. If I leave a message or they leave a message we always get back to each other atleast within a week.

No not in the BP but since the baby was due at the end of Aug. I doubt they are on vacation and my other friend hasnt called me either but we'll see what happens. I'll be your friend closer to your wedding If you'll be mine Im gonna have to put up an open invatation to LIW girls to fill my room the way this is going I could have the next WOTY(free though)

I know that sometimes it might not be intentional. I have friends that I've just lost touch with, and not because of a falling out, just as we get older people tend to get more and more wrapped up in their own lives! I'm not saying that eventually its normal to not have friends, but I know from personal experience (you guys know that I was feeling really down a month or so ago) that being happy isnt about having quantity, its about the quality of people. I'm thankful that I have my family, FH, and a few (very few!) close friends, and I know that eventually even these friendships will become less of a priority as FH and I start OUR life together... its just how things happen, its the way of the world. Your friend may be so wrapped up in her pregnancy that she hasnt even thought about how her actions look to you. Don't worry! I'm sure its nothing that YOU did! Plus you always have all of us here to vent to!

Okay! Found the end of the drama with my two friends(two out of the I DONT KNOW 10 PEOPLE isnt bad, right?)and alittle pissed still but more so feel like an A$$!
Well ya see my one friend whose phone is disconnected just a bought a house and moved(yeah would've been nice if she had sent me a card or something)and my friend who was pregnant well see at 9months pregnant found out her husband had a brain tumor the size of a tennis ball and had to have emergency surgery and spent 10days in ICU and another few days on a regular floor stressing that his wife was gonna go into labor without him. Well he gets out of the hospital and she goes picks her mom up from the airport and they go to her doctors appt. and her blood pressure is through the roof so the doctor tells her she has to be induced ASAP(this is labor day weekend)well once they induce her she went from 0 to 4cm in an hour so they told her it would be quick and instead wound up stuck at 4 for 10hours and her blood pressure cont. to go up and started affecting the baby so they had to rush her in for a c-section and she started losing so much blood they had to knock her out completly to deliver the baby. So she didnt find out she had a baby girl until hours after delivery. So now her and her husband are out of work until after christmas. Her husband continues to have seizures that paralyze his left side of his face and his left arm. I told her this was more of a reason to call me or have someone else call like my friend who moved I live 15min from her and I could've atleast stayed with her in case she went into labor or helped with the baby while the two of them are recovering. She said they are going to doctors every day for her,or her husband or the baby. So my daughter and I are going to go by and help with stuff and I told her I will drive her and her hubby anywhere they have to go until she feels up to it! I very, very glad that they are okay! I really hope this isnt the drastic response I get from the rest of my MIA friends and family! Anyhow, Just wanted to say thanks again for the thoughts and help and if I can be so bold please, please, please pray for my friend and her husband if you have a free minute. Thanks You girls are the best!!
