Veil question posted at Newlywed section, but maybe you gals can help too?

Ok ladies, I'm stressing and need your help. My mom picked up my veil for me today while I was at work. I have a two tiered veil, but they are pretty close together in length (32 and 34 inches).... it is attached to a comb, I guess about 3 inches in length. I am wearing it at the back of my head (or so I thought). I thought the comb should be pushed down in my hair, yet it seems like the veil doesn't sit right if I do that. Am I supposed to push the comb up? Which layer should be on the outer part of the veil, the shorter or longer piece?

Boy, do I feel like an idiot.

Thanks girls for your help!

I would try to push the comb up and see how it feels, it should be ok. Is anyone doing your hair professionally, if so, they should know how to do it. I also think that the shorter piece of the veil goes on the outside.
