The number of players in the band and instruments.
The hours of the wedding, including cocktail hour if necessary.
The total amount of time the band will actually be playing, and if there is taped or live music during the breaks
The names of your lead singers
The cost of overtime if contracted before the wedding and the cost of overtime if not contracted before.
If they require a meal

Everyone will tell you to have the names on there, but I did and it did nothing. We had three to four fill ins on our day. They were all lead singers too. The names were on the contract but it did nothing. I am just bringing this up because that is the first thing that people will tell you to have on the band contract. Just wanted to let you know...

number of band members and their names

number of songs they will learn for your wedding

playing/break schedule to ensure continuous music

price, payment schedule, overtime rate

and probably a dozen other things I cant think of now

The band was Creations. They were part of Franklin Wayne. It was a huge dissapointment knowing all the other choices we had out there. I just want people to be aware that having names on your contract does NOTHING! It is too bad for you.

Our contract has a clause about in the event of uncontrollable yada yada yada....

I was very leary of Franklin Wayne when we went to see their bands...just too much crap they piled on us! And the PHONE CALLS!!!

We had that paragraph too that if such and such happens..blah blah blah, but it doesnt matter to them. To them it is only another day.

Creations played at my wedding at Oheka Castle and they were unbelievable! All the members were there and Kim Sozzi was awesome ! they were so helpful, and played great music ,everyone had the best time ,serveral of my friends have hired them since seeing them at my wedding! I'm not sure why you had a problem maybe there's something your not telling us ? Anyway i would recommend them to anyone getting married. They gave us extra attention and learned all our special requests . Kim Did a beautiful job on our wedding song

Thanks, Lizzy, but I think her problem was the singers she hired not showing up, which if I'm not mistaken, is a pretty big problem.

Half the band wasnt there. There were fill ins. That is the problem I had and I think it was enough. Need I say more?

maybe they were never guaranteed? i know that kim sozzi was on tour in Europe .

its not the bands fault , franklin wayne should not promise and guarantee people , especially if kim was on tour .

Lizzy, they were guaranteed. They screwed us out of our contract...end of story

my name is lizzy and i had creations play at my wedding just because you had a problem with franklin wayne , doesnt not mean it should reflect on Creations. and they did a good job at my wedding and I am free to post whatever i want , thats why we live in a free society, thank you no reason to be so rude

I agree with Cindy. I think it is wise to put the band members names on the contract but it didn't mean much to Creations/Franklin Wayne - or whoever made the contract.

The same thing that happened to Cindy with Creations also happened to my brother (my brother's wedding was before Cindy's). My brother found out by accident a few weeks before his wedding that one member - their favorite singer - was no longer with the band (he went to see them at a showcase to show a friend the band). Of course, he would have never known this in advance if he did not go to the showcase. Then the day of, 3-4 other members also did not show and they had replacements. The band was good but my brother and his wife were extremely upset and they saw a huge difference. It was very unfortunate they had this happen to my brother and SIL and to Cindy.
