what color ink are u using on ur invites?

i was going to use purple to match my lilac pocketfold. but i'm thinking it may be over kill and/or clashing. I have a black and white kim anderson pic on my invite i think i can get away with black with right?

Gray/silverish...to match the ribbon, as an accent color to all that navy! I ordered them the other night- woohoo!!


You can definitely do black!! That's always the classic solution! I think I'd go with black if I were you- or another subtle accent color....

I think that black would look good. Silver would also look nice. We are using a green, since our invites will be ivory.

i too was thinking of doing a greyish silver since my ribbon will be silver. but i'm afraid it will be too light since i'm having them printed on metallic card stock. what do u think? are u using regular or metallic card stock?

What color metallic card stock? Is it dark or light? This gray-ish silver ink I'm using looks just fine on an ivory-ish paper. Are you getting them professionally printed or are you DIY? With raised lettering it should show up I would think.

i used a gray ink.... i wanted a more sublte look

I used Grey ink but our names were in color to match the ribbon

Hmmmm...I'm not really sure then. If it's a dark silver or gray, it might work. But I'd think your invite person might know best!

duh, it helps to look doesn't it? I looked at it too- I think silver/gray will totally work!!! Go for it!

Our invites are ivory with a champagne pearl embossing around the edges. We used a sage ink color. The light green almost looked like a champagne color against the ivory card stock.

I like the idea of silver against the lilac. I'm not crazy about black ink especially when you have so many other color options.

I have a white invite with a purple border, so I am using purple ink.

Mine was a cream color metallic cardstock, the printing on the invite and envelope were done in a sage green, to go w/ my colors.

It think you will be fine w/ black, it's always classic.

Probably brown--it's also one of my colors. But even if it wasn't, I would probably use it. It's softer than black, but still dark enough.

Just realized you said you have a black and white invite. Then I would use black.

My invite is pearl (and pearlized), and my ink will be navy.
