What To Wear For Sunday Afternoon Wedding?

Is a strapless, knee-length black dress okay to wear for afternoon wedding? Or...I don't know, what is more appropriate? If I do wear black dress, should it be with nude stockings instead of black stockings?

Re: What To Wear For Sunday Afternoon Wedding?

I know. This is my fourth wedding since last month, and I have only worn this dress because it's really all I have. Luckily for these weddings, they're all people who don't see me at more than one wedding that they'd see that I wear the dress again. Except one guy who was at one wedding. It's his wedding Sunday.

Then we have 2 christenings to go to next month!

Oh I have THE BEST dress which I bought at Express!!! I've worn it to so many occasions because it just so happened that each occasion had different people at them...I was sooo happy!! But that's wearing out and I'm getting tired of the dress. I think I will wear it one last time this Sunday before retiring it for a while. We have a christening this sunday. It's fitted and goes down to my ankles. My concern is--should I wear open toed shoes?? ANd if I do, should I wear pantyhose?? ANd if I do, what color should I wear??? Trust me! I have the same angst you do about these things!

Re: What To Wear For Sunday Afternoon Wedding?

I got my dress at Express too! I love it.

I didn't think it was okay to wear open-toed shoes yet since it's still a little chilly, and if I wear open toed shoes, I prefer to wear them without stockings. But I am not up with fashion, so I don't know if that's right or not.

Oh no, I will have to get a different dress for the two christenings. It's the same group of people. Shoot.

I personally think strapless knee length would be fine...if it were full lenth then maybe not for a day wedding, but knee length would be beautiful! You could always wrap a shawl over it for teh ceremony and then once ya get comfy at the reception..go strapless! Thats what I would do!

Thanks! I do not have a shawl unfortunately. Maybe I can borrow one from someone. Because it's going to be pretty cold probably.
