Try pickquick in farmingdale. Its a huge paper store. They are located on Rte 110. I've bought tons of colored cardstock from them.

if you look at the pink in their 'luxe' collection, it's really beautiful. a nice pale pink and the paper is slightly textured. they will send you samples.
