YIKES! wedding drama! advice needed

long story short.... my FH has these buddies from TX that he grew up with. 2 of them are invited to the wedding, 1 is not (FH doesn't like him and never did). So even though we sent out STD's, I guess this 1 guy assumed he was invited too.

you know how it is when there's a group of friends. you tolerate people by association, especially when you're in high school.

yesterday, FH's brother was hanging out with 1 of these guys and he told my FH's brother that the one that's not invited is coming to NY for the wedding

FH is SOOOOOO pissed off! now he has to figure out how to do damage control.

do you ladies have any advice?

Well if he's not invited, he needs to be told that it is not in his best interest to come. I would have FH call the other friend & confirm that this guy is indeed planning to come, then call the uninvited guy & advise him that he was not on the guest list!! always drama, never fails!!!

it gets worse. we found out that he already bought plane tickets for him and his wife!

Wait...he knows he is NOT invited but he got plane tickets already? That is just crazy. If he didn't get a STD magnet and is not getting an invitation, what is he thinking?

you got me!! 2 of the guys got their STD's, he did not. you know how guys are.... they're not going to talk about the pretty STD magnets they got.

I guess they assumed they were all invited.

obviously he cares enough about your FH to buy a plane tocket to come to the wedding. Maybe his feelings would be really hurt if he found out that he was the only one NOT invited.
Only my opinion, but I would just let it go. Let him come. Out of all those people there, is he really going to make a difference if he is there too? your FH will be with you most of the night and sayinbg hellos and thank you's to the guest.
Maybe it's best to bit your tongue on this one...even if is sopposed to be your day, your way!
You two are still going to have the times of your lives, with him there or with out him there. So why not save someone's feeling from being hurt???? This situation really isn't about doing the right thing or the wrong thing, it's about doing what's best.

I tend to agree with Carolyn - unless of course, your FH really hates this guy. It's going to be really awkward to tell this guy to cancel his flight. Sorry, that's really annoying but maybe he'll give a generous gift and be really likeable that day

FH disllikes this guy, a lot

there are MANY other people we would rather have there before him.
