We went on a vacation to the Dominican Republic November 9th-14th. Unexpectedly the second night he proposed!! Which made the rest of our vacation that much more special! On Wednesday 11/5, my fiance and I got engaged! We have been dating a year and a half and been living together in Queens since August. He did it on a random night after I came home from Grad school. It was absolutely beautiful and romantic. I was so surprised ! He decorated our apartment with rose pedals on the bed, 4 dozen roses in vases, candles everywhere, 2 edible arrangements, balloons and written in tiny heart candles was WILL YOU MARRY ME?....It was so beautiful and romantic! Congatulations and best wishes to Vicki and Scott, a Special Education Teacher and an Electrician both from Queens. We would like to welcome them to our family and wish them all the very best.

It almost sounds like a story out of a book! Joey and I have been best friends for 6 years, and finally decided to start dating a little over a year ago. On October 22, 2008, he proposed and now we're planning to get married! (Hey...they say you should marry your best friend..well that's exactly what happened with us!) Astra is a local radio personality and Joey is the owner of Level DJ Entertainment. We are looking to get married in May 2009 and are trying to decide if we want to have a destination wedding in Aruba or get married here on Long Island, Congratulations, welcome and all the best to Astra and Joey. We wish them both much continued love, health and happiness.

Mary Ann and George Manders of West Hempstead proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Clarissa Marie, to Russell Shayne Fox, son of Cheryl and Steve Fox of Briarwood. Clarissa works for the law firm Troutman Sanders LLP in New York City and Russell works for Phoenix Beverages in Long Island City. On October 18, 2008, after a morning of horseback riding, the couple became engaged at the Montauk Point Lighthouse and celebrated with a champagne toast on the beach under the stars. They are planning a December 2009 wedding.

He then went down on one knee and had a shirt on with a picture of our daughters and himself saying "will you marry us". They look forward to an October 11, 2009 celebration on Long Island.
