9mths later, Th You's not sent out yet... :(
OK, this procrasinating has gotten really bad. I know better late than never, but it all started with our handed in the prooffs 5 mths later, and then its been 6-7 weeks since we got the TH Y's, now its getting a hold of that spreadsheet again with everyones addresss... God I feel like such an ungrateful person ! SHAME ON ME !!! Is it really bad to send them out so late ? I know my family wants them, but some people are going to forget about the wedding, lol. Just thought i'd share this stupidity of mine ! ciao anna

Better late than never.....
I think you should definately send them. I went to a wedding a few years ago and didn't get the thank you for almost a year later. I recall thinking it was sort of odd that they took so long, but I was also glad to know that they had gotten the gift, since I was never really sure.

Are you saying that you are thinking of not sending out thank yous? That has to be the tackiest thing I have heard on this web site. All those people come to your wedding, give you gifts and you can`t find the time to send out thank yous? Shame on you is right. I doubt people have forgotten about your wedding, we don`t usually forget when our generosity is not acknowledged. Do yourself a favor and write them out. Procrastination is one thing but to be so rude as to not send a thank you, theres no excuse for that except poor taste.

I agree with you! I went to a wedding this past November and never received a thank you card. It really makes me think less of those people!

that's not what she said...
She said they weren't sent out YET. She never indicated that she wasn't sending them out, just that her procrastination has made it even more of a chore.

9mths later, Th You`s not sent out yet... :( To Brenda
Eh hem, Excuse me miss,(Brenda) I think your response is the tackiest thing i've ever heard on this website and is in VERY poor taste. Why would i NOT send out my ThankYou's? That's not what I said. Maybe you should think about what you write before writing it. Practice what you preach. Tell me about having poor taste and you come across as .....(blank blank). I sure would NOT want a thank you from someone like you. (Excuse me, everyone else that had to read this). Anna

that`s not what she said...TH YOU KAREN !
Thank You Karen for understanding what I said. and to Lia and Brenda who seem to sit home and wait for acknowledgement of gifts, please grow up. First of all I dont need to explain myself to you, but I might as well mention that I am the type of person that almost everyone that attended our wedding has gotten at least 10 phone calls from us just to say 'Hello' or 'Happy Holidays' or 'It was nice seeing you'...Almost everyone has gotten duplicates of photos they were in at my wedding. Almost everyone has gotten emails of photos they were in with us or their families. We`ve had lots of friends and family over for dinner and have made plans with others. What a person does to show appreciation does not have to be the same exact way others do it at the same exact time others do it. Brenda and Lia, what I have to say is, I would never want to be the receiver of your 'gift' or 'act of kindness', knowing that you are sitting there waiting for a Thank You. SHAME SHAME SHAME Shame on you. (This is intended for Lia, Brenda and Karen to read)

Hi Nicole, First of all Congratulations !!!! I was SOOOO happy with their work. I got about 600-700 proofs I beleive, it was an ENORMOUS amount of proofs. I never really counted them, it was a task i dreaded (picking them) so i never took the time to count them. But rest assured they turned out AMAZING, breathtaking and everything i expected of them ! I'm waiting for the video still :) ( I was extremely late in turning in my proofs and music for video...) Good Luck ! Anna

Anna, thanks!! I just have one more question, did they take any pics with you and your grandparents? My mom didn't remember until the wedding was over and they never took any with my grandparents and they only took one with my bridal party and mom so I'm a little nervous. Thanks!!

Wdg Group One - Me too, Nicole...
Unfortunately none of my grandparents are alive..boo hoo ! But you did remind me of something, most of my family members have used this one photographer (Who has done every italian wedding in queens, lol) and he does the standard poses for everyone, so everyone knew what they were getting... Well at my wedding, we went in toward the end of cocktail hour, after having taken our (just me and hubby) photos and some bridal party shots, and i saw this look on my mothers face that she was about to make a scene, i couldnt imagine what it could be...so i overheard her saying 'are the parents JUST FORGOTTEN HERE ?????' she was totally flipping out that it didnt dawn on Tony to take pics with the parents, i was kind of shocked myself, and i'm glad she noticed, I took it for granted that 'all photographers' should know these things...and of course i was in la-la land, so i wouldnt have ever noticed. I was very happy with the fact that they were VERY involved in the bridge-groom shots :) another thing, they kept saying to the kids in my bridal party to go to the side and NOT be in the pictures, and i insistted that they get in ! they were part of my bridal party and should have been in every phot like the rest of us ! he did take some creative more grownup shots that kids werent in (like all couples in bridal party watching us kiss under tree..and a few more). Overall I am VERY VERY happy with them, so dont get discouraged that it happened to me too. Most likely some of your family member will have some great shots of grandma and grandpa that you can blow up and frame :) (and give them for xmas :) Good luck with your proofs :) ! annaWelcome New Vendors
