Advice..

Surprising DH w/ a weekend away. WE never got to go away after our wedding (we were gonna go the weekend of hurricane Irene.)

Im debating between AC or Poconos. I'm not really sure what there is to do in the poconos? I am leaning towards AC just because I know we like it.

Any thoughts?

AC sounds great! That would be a fun weekend. Have you ever been to Newport? Its not that far away and its awesome there! Just another suggestion :)

both good ideas but completely different.

Poconos is great for relaxing in a cabin, try to get one with a jacuzzi or bathtub!. DH and I have gone with our friends a few times and depending on where you stay, you can horseback ride, white water raft, kayak, hike, paintball, etc. If you are lakefront, they usually include rowboats or paddle boats to use.

We are going in November with a big group and renting a lake front cabin. We plan to go to the shooting range, BBQ, sit in front of the firepit with smores, etc.

I was totally going to suggest Newport! its my fave place for weekend getaways

AC is always fun! if you can swing the borgata-the water club, you can schedule a massage, hang out in their indoor pool- go out to dinner and/or a show at night
