age of motherhood

when you were younger how old did you think you would be when you had your (first) child?

now that we are married, how old do you think you will be?

ill go....

i never really thought too much about this when i was younger. i vaguely recall '27' in my head as a teen....

but in my late teens/early 20s, i kind of had 31 in my head

i turn 30 in january....so who knows....maybe ill be right

my mom was 28 when i was born so figured around there. or before. but looking less like it as we go.

my mom was 43 when i was born, so i guess i never figured to be in a rush.

I always knew I wanted to have an established career before I start on the kids
turning 31 in aug, I guess I was off hehe

I always figured married around 25, kids around 30. I was off on the marriage and I'm still at kids around 30...hopefully...

I always thought by 25 I'd start and be done by 30...
If you'd asked my sibs, they all thought I'd be married and with kids first....
Go figure I was the last married - and are not planning on kids!

When I was younger I always thought I would be married with children young, than my 20's came and I want no part of being married or having childre. Now I am married and 30. Let's see if my BC fails or not.

ETA: I never compared myself to my mother. I have a career and she was a housewife (I am still jealous of that) She had 4 children by 32... If I were to compare myself to her. I am WAYYYYY behind!!

I always thought early 30's. However, I'd really like to have my first before I'm 30...preferably right before... at 29.

I never thought about having kids when I was younger - I was actually the opposite and would say 'i don't want kids.'

That changed around the time DH came into the picture - now, I'd be happy with kids around 33-34. I just turned 29 about a week ago.

My mom had me when she was 23 ... i always thought i'd have kids a little after that (like at 25 years old) ... i just turned 30 so i guess i was off

I figured 25 when I was young, but I had my son when I was 22.

IF DH and I have another (let me rephrase that, if DH ever lets me talk him into having another one) I figure I will be about 30.

I think I was deluded and thought I'd have a kid at 20
