banks

what bank do you use and do you like them?

DH and I opened a joint account at Teachers Federal Credit Union. I really like them and they are pretty good with interest rates BUT their website looks like a toddler designed it which bothers me. I do all of my banking online and i'm always a bit nervous with them.

Re: banks

I work for Bethpage Federal Credit Union, so I do my banking with them, but personally I love them. No fees, free checking plus interest, free ATM's at 7-11, King Kullen, Walgreens, Costco, any Bethpage ATM and any other credit union ATM.

Mor, just so you know, you can do banking at any shared service center - any other participating credit union, like suffolk federal, bethpage, nassau educators, etc... so if there's another location that you're close to yoor work, but not home, you can still go there. (Yes, I'm a total banking nerd. I drank the kool aid )

I use Chase b/c I live in the city and they are EVERYWHERE...but when I go to my parents' house on LI they are few and far between.

My parents' use Island Federal Credit Union and I totally know what you mean re: the low-tech website! Don't be nervous though! There's no way they can have a website without the proper security measures.
