BON JOUR LADIES
We got back from our second honeymoon Saturday. We went to London, Amsterdam and Paris. Here's a brief rundown:
London, Mayfair Hotel .. I love London. Maybe because its just like NYC with a ton of sightseeing. The food though is horrendous. I thought people were joking when they said that London will leave me hungry. Ugh, they give new meaning to bland.
We went full throttle when we got there. Hit every bar in Soho and ended up at a strip club. We had a great time. The rest of the time we were sightseeing and on our anniversary we went to a very nice restaurant that my adorable DH booked(food still doesnt even come close to the restaurants in NYC).
Amsterdam is AMAZZINGGGGG. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. We stayed at the Grand Sofitel and it was one of the nicest rooms ever. Its so beautiful and everyone is so friendly. Yes we went into coffee shops but no we werent high the whole time we were there. The red light district is something you have to experience at least once. Its so fun and so different. Ahhh, I miss it so much I wish I wouldve spent more time there and less time in Paris.
Paris, Westin Vendome, eh. ... I think its the most overrated city ever. Aesthetically its gorgeous. The architecture is amazing. The buildings and statues everywhere are beautiful. But the food, not so great, the people do not go out of their way at all to be nice. They especially do not try if you dont speak any french. Taxi driver one night ripped us off. Put the meter at 10 euros after a block of being in the cab. There was nothing we could say or do because we didnt speak the language. We never took a cab again. If i can do it all over, Id do 2 days in Paris and 4 days in Amsterdam.
The cafes are tightly packed, elbow to elbow so forget it if youre a non smoker and want to eat outside. They smoke everywhere and have no regard if youre eating right next to them. They city smells of armpits, cigarettes and bad perfume. Seriously. Two days wouldve been to enough for us to see everything we wanted to.
Anyway, Im back and its great to be an American :)
What did I miss? I'll post pictures either tonight or tomorrow. I missed you all, I had no phone service for 10 days!

Re: BON JOUR LADIES
wow! can't wait to see pictures of Amsterdam and London! can't wait to visit both cities!not a fan of paris, never was and never will be. not even on my list of places to see, although I did go to Monaco earlier this year - but everyone was uber nice - maybe because its like one of the richest places in the worls and because its a principality and not actually part of france.
either way, so glad you had an amazing time!
