bridal shower

so my friend allyson is getting married in june on nantucket.

her bachelorette party was in miami and I basically hauled *** down there for like 36 hours and several hundreds of $$$...

now her shower is this weekend in longmeadow mass (right outside of boston).

I am driving myself up and back in the same afternoon. There is no way I'm NOT gonna go as I'm a bridesmaid (although 2 of the other BMs are missing it)....

I am just kinda annoyed and I'd rather let it out here as opposed to venting out loud.

yeah that's kind of annoying. but you had a blast in miami, right. what better excuse for a weekend away!

You're totally right - I did have a blast! I'm just being a total crankpot bc I'm exhausted and soaked

This is the dress (except it is short and in a color called 'french blue') ..it is by Amsale.

I'm sure you'll have a great time in the end and be happy you went. I love the BM dress. Amsale makes the beautiful dreses- my Bm's wore Amsale.

I wore that dress in black for my friends wedding October! I love the dress but it was pricey--I WILL wear it again!

For that same wedding, the bachelorette party was in the Hamptons, the wedding was in Virginia and instead of traveling to her shower in Virginia, I was ASKED to throw one for her in NYC. I love her to death so didn't mind but so much money to host a shower.

I'd rather travel to MA (but it still stinks to drive alone)
