Re: CELIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!

He is still humping Jerrys leg and biting at my ankles and pants.
I am just getting- 'he is a puppy, he will grow out of it' - I get it- he is a puppy but I cant afford a new wardrobe when he starts ripping my clothes

Remember Kimbiz (Kimberly)? I got in touch with her and one of her co-workers will be coming over Friday to assess the situation and maybe give some ideas.

Otherwise- I love him to pieces!!!!

Re: CELIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!

whenever he does the biting and humping make sure you say NO in a very strong tone. buttttt dont say NO SHAMROCK. you dont want him to associate his name with doing something bad..

the second he tries to bite you tell him NO and give him a chewy toy. when he starts chewing on it say GOOD BOY SHAMROCK.

this worked with ginger.

I guess we have to walk around the house with a chew toy.

Re: CELIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!

I'd definitely always have a chew toy to replace what ever he's chewing... It will take a while, but he will learn the difference between whats yours and his.

Also - when our pups were little - we'd keep a small leash attached to them ...even in the house. So if they would nip or do something they shouldn't - it's easy to reach and you can so a slight jerk to the lead (a 'correction') while you tell him no.

Also - try to run him ragged! Exercise is key to keeping their energy focused... After a bout of play, he'll be to tired to chew or nip at you!

There is going to be a bit of an adjustment as he was with his pack - doing puppy play (biting and nipping) and you're now his pack so he thinks it's ok to do it with you too. His mom would just nip back to say no... you have to do it with your voice and a slight jerk on a lead.

HTH!
