Creepy Vacation Stories
Do you have any memories from when you were younger on vacation with your family - or even recent one?The St. Kitts post sparked a memory from when I was younger on vaca there with my Parents and their friends....
My mom set me up on the beach with some lady to braid my hair. My hair has always been very long and the braids made it easier to deal with while on vaca. So anyhow...my mom left me with the lady and went back with her friends in eye sight from where i was. This creepy man takes up residency by me. Me being young didn't know how to react. As the woman was finishing up the creep decided to remove my hair from the comb and keep it. I honestly had to be about 13/14 years old. I had no idea what to do! It freaks me out that some strange man may still have my hair!

Re: Creepy Vacation Stories
my only creepy story is when we were upstate visiting family, it was a few years after my cousin was killed.. i was sleeping in the guest room between my parents, i remember waking up and seeing someone (like a ghost) coming down from the ceiling, like hovering above me. i tried to wake up my parents, but they just mumbled to go back to sleep.. so i did. the next day i brought it up and my mothers cousin (the homeowner) said 'oh, thats just the boogyman, he comes in all the time).
like it was normal.
mind you, this was the first time i ever heard the term 'boogie man'...
i never slept there again.

Re: Creepy Vacation Stories
Both stories are creepy......especially the ghost one.I don't have any stories from vacation.
You know I love watching creepy shows like Paranormal State and My Ghost Story, but I don't know how I would react if i did actually see a ghost.

Re: Creepy Vacation Stories
Yes!!! While we were on our honeymoon we met a couple who we hung out with 1 night went for sushi and karaoke and at the end of the night we went back to their hotel room for some wine and he proposed to his girlfriend right infront of us!!!!:-it was soo weird/ creepy/ and uncomfortable!!! Mostly because she hesitated for a minute and said 'Seriously'
then said ok and continued our conversation as if it didnt happen

i absolutely would not sleep there either.
i do have a funny boogeyman story though ...
when i was about 12, i had this friend, Ida. One day, Ida came over to my house for a slumber party ... right before we went to bed, Ida looked at me and we had the following conversation:
Ida: hey Mor ... can I put my socks next to your socks?
me: um ... what? why?
Ida: So if the boogyman comes to steal my socks, he'll take yours too

um .... yeah ok .... so let me get this straight ...
1) a boogyman exists and he steals socks
2) you want him to steal my socks too???

Re: Creepy Vacation Stories
Two sort of creepy stories (one mine, one not mine)...When I was younger, I used to do dance competitions which led us all over the east coast. Somehow we ended up upstate at this hotel - the Concorde hotel or something like that. i swear the movie 'The Shining' must've been filmed there because they entire hotel looked like it! I know it wasn't because the place they filmed it is in Wyoming or something, but the red elevators, the theater where the dancers performed resembled the bar room, the whole place was 100% creepy. Plus upstate it was cold and snowy - I had visions of freezing in a labyrinth I couldn't escape!!
Second story - a couple that my family is friends with went on vacation in Aruba. They made friends with another couple while at the resort, meeting up for dinner, hanging by the pool, etc. By the fourth night, the other couple asked our friends if they 'swing'
They spent the rest of their vacation avoiding the swingers!!!

Re: Creepy Vacation Stories
Well, we can to do pre-cana we get to the Monastery and there's like, a PARTY going on, like, dance/techno music playing and its all priests and seminarians...totally felt like Eyes Wide Shut, with all the people in cloaks (no masks tho.) We didn't go to the party but then we had to sleep overnight at the Monastery and they had these old pipes that clanged all night and sounded like someone walking down the hall with a bat, so I bunked w/my then-fiance and the 2nd night we snuck out and stayed at the Marriot.Welcome New Vendors
