gift question

DH's aunt, uncle and their then-12 year old son came to our wedding and gave us $250. The son counted as an adult and they knew that (we had asked them if they want us to give him a 'real' meal or a children's meal). So 3 adults and $250 is $75 per guest that they brought

The son's bar mizvah is tomorrow ... it's a 3 hour service () followed by brunch or whatnot (at the synagogue) ...

is $75 a good enough gift for him from DH and me? is it too little (or too much)?

we're not very close with them at all (though i do like them)

It was just the kaddish at the shul, no affair after? The last BM I went to had a kaddish and then an evening affair with a DH, dancing, CH later on that night.

I would give 90. You want it to be a multiple of 18. I know this is late for you, but in case someone else read it.

For the BM we went to with the evening affair, DH and I gave $180. They came to our wedding 2 weeks later and gave us $300 from 5 people 2 adults, 3 kids.
