We are doing the same trip for our 1 year ! Do we need to make advance reservations for any restaurants or do you plan on doing it when you get there ?
Thanks!

Re: hawaii HM girls...

Road to Hana - rent a jeep and take the top off! Best drive of my life!

Ziplining - there are many options - we did one in 'upcountry' up in the hills - AMAZING!

paddleboarding - we did this out of the Grand Wailea but it is offered all over the island

Re: hawaii HM girls...

In Kauai we visited Waimea Canyon & went snorkeling at Poipu Beach (www.poipubeach.org). We rented snorkel equipment & bought some fish food & the fish where a plenty. It was really amazing to see. I was a little nervous because DH loved feeding the fish & he was surrounded by them; he even got bit by one. We also visited Kipu & Wailua Waterfalls. They were both amazing & we really didn’t want to leave Kauai.

Kauai is amazing & DH & I can not wait to go back.

Re: hawaii HM girls...

We did a bike riding down the volcano excursion in Kauai ... it was a lot of fun and not overly hard (it was mostly down-hill)

in Maui, we did the road to hana (it's a bit scary of a drive because the road is narrow) ... we rented a convertible and drove ... there are tons of places you can stop at on the road with awesome views.

Also in Maui, we did the luau at the Feast of Lele ... it was good (but a bit pricey).

Re: hawaii HM girls...

Maui:

I can't remember all the restaurants we went to but here are a few:

Plantation House Restaurant - beautiful view (esp if you go at sunset) over a golf course. Great food.

Sansei - Japanese

Da Kitchen- this is a lunch place that is really small, not fancy, and mostly for locals but it has amazing food. It's closer to the airport but def worth a stop if you want to go for lunch one day!

Excursions:

Sunrise Bike Tour -Haleakala Crater
I highly recommend doing this. They pick you up at your hotel at like 2:30 am. You drive up to the top of the crater and you watch the sunrise. It's an amazing view! Then you bike ride the 25-miles down the crater. It's really fun and the views are awesome.

Road to Hana

Zip Lining

Old Lahaina Luau

Re: hawaii HM girls...

the Four Seasons in Maui is the greatest place on earth.

That said, Spago is a MUST
Ferraro (also on the property) is amazing
Their breakfast spread is possible the most heavenly thing in the world.

Other good restaurants - Sorrento's on the Beach, Nick's Fishmarket, and for a casual night there's a great pizza place by the shops that I can't remember the name of but the concierge can tell you, its awesome.

Excursions - whale watching depending when you're there.

And just relaxing by the pool at the Four Seasons or getting spa treatments is lovely!
