How are you spending the Holidays Now that you are a Wifey... ????

How are you going to spend the Holidays....

Will you be with your family?... Will you be with your hubby's Family? Will DH be with you? or Will you be alone with DH?...

For me it will be,....

Thanksgiving Day:
Thursday: We (DH & I) will spend it together with my parents/brother....
Saturday: We driving to PA & we are pretending 'thanksgiving' day is Saturday so we can be with MIL & SFIL.


Christmas Eve/Day
12/24: We have ALWAYS celebrate Xmas on Xmas eve... 12/24 it is always the day we get together eat & dance...
This year IT WILL BE THE FIRST ONE IN OUR LITTLE HOME! <3 My family, His family, couple of friends....
12/25: Nothing.. We do nothing.. just chill...


New Years Eve/day:
12/31: I think we will spend it with my family... DH, my family & I....

Thanksgiving: Lunch w/ my family, dinner with his

Christmas: Eve w/ my family, dinner on the christmas day w/ his family and family friends

NYE: We're most likely going to VT and getting a house w/ both groups of friends. We never usually spend NYE w/ family so this wasn't a problem

it should be fun except i hate snow sports so i'll probably be hanging around the fireplace or hot tub drinking or just going tubing

This year DH will be working on Thanksgiving. So, I told him that we should do a Thanksgiving breakfast just so he can be with his family for a couple of hours and then I will drive over to celebrate with my family when he goes to work.

For Christmas, he will be off Christmas Eve but working Christmas. So we will probably celebrate with his family Christmas Eve and then I would celbrate Christmas with mine. Sucks he won't be there. Maybe i'll have him come early to my familys house for Christmas and then go to work from there.

For New Years Eve, we are not sure yet.

We have never spend holidays seperate... I went to a Club ONCE for new years eve and i was a mess lol... i guess cuz i am so used to since a little girl...

Thanksgiving: His Family. We alternate years. Not sure if we are going to my parents afterwards for dessert or not yet. If we don't, we'll go to their house on Saturday and celebrate Thanksgiving then.

Christmas Eve: My family.
Christmas Day: His family. Again, we alternate who gets Christmas eve every year since its the bigger holiday for us.

New Years Eve: His family
New Years Day: My family

since DH had to work the holidays we try and figure everything out closer to the date. still figuring it out.

but we usually will try and combine both families since we both have really small ones...

We're splitting Easter and Thanksgiving every other year

2011- Easter with my family, Thanksgiving with DH's family
2012- Easter with DH's family, Thanksgiving with my family
..and so on! Lol

Christmas Eve will be with my family at my mom's house. Christmas Day we will go to my dad's for a little while and then go to DH's family's house for dinner, dessert, presents etc.

ETA- New Year's Eve we are spending with friends and New Year's Day we are just relaxing at home!

DH and I are hosting our first thanksgiving at our house this year We did our first christmas last year and it was super stressful for me but an overall success. We will be having ILs and BIL, SIL & niece over. We are going to see my parents that weekend.

Christmas eve we always do at MIL & FIL. Not a big deal since my parents dont really celebrate it. Then we did christmas day at my parents. Probably the same this year but when we have the baby next christmas, we will pribably be staying in our own house and opening presents for baby's first christmas

no idea what we're gdoing for new years eve. last year was a BAD one for me so I may just sleep through this one

Thanksgiving is being hosted by us again this year - so both families will be coming over and I'm doing all the cooking. Sooo excited!

New Year's we haven't decided yet.

I lucked out....LOL

Since my family doesn't celebrate X-Mas, we go to DH's family for that and Turkey Day goes to my mom.

NYE is still undecided.....

Here is what we've been doing and will prob continue to do:

Thanksgiving-my family
Xmas eve-DH's family
Xmas day-my family
Easter-DH family(although I do see my family earlier that day as well, but have formal dinner w/ DH family)

Christmas eve: DHs mom during the day, my family (mom, dad and sis) at night.

Christmas day: my entire family!!

NYE: either at my parents home, my best friends home (my mom and her mom are best friends, so they alternate), or I stay home (pending bad weather...)

Easter: my grandparents or we may host (since DH proposed to me on Easter!)

Thanksgiving with my family-- my 25th birthday so I claimed the holiday

Then for christmas and new years eve we are escaping to England! ha im avoiding choosing and spliting the holiday for another year

Thanksgiving will be spent here in NC with three other couples, we have done a 'Friends Thanksgiving' for the past 6 years for everyone who doesn't go to their respective home states. Its so much fun!

Christmas Eve/Day is at my parents this year, so I will be home on LI

NYE is back here in NC because we both have to work the week in between We prob won't do much since we hate NYE and amaterus

Thanksgiving. We are hosting! His parents are coming up from Maryland and my parents and sister are coming in from LI

Christmas and Christmas Eve. Maryland this year. Boo

I uess we will do New Years at my parents and do belated presents there?
