how can i cheer up DH?

i was thinking of buying a Junior's cheesecake to cheer DH up but i would need to order it online so it def wouldn't get there till at least tomorrow ... plus, he's been trying to stay healthy so i'm not sure it's that great of a gift ....

i was also thinking to get him a video game or something, but it's a bit counterintuitive to get him a game when he needs to be finding jobs

anyone have any other ideas of things i can get him? or should i just stick with the cheesecake?

Re: how can i cheer up DH?

I think the cheesecake is a really sweet idea. My DH likes to stick to healthy foods as often as possible too but I think under the circumstances a sweet treat might be just the answer!

What about a movie night date to distract him from the initial blow of the news?

Re: how can i cheer up DH?

Why not go to Cheesecake Factory and get him one slice of cheesecake? That way you can still cheer him up, get it today, and then he can get back on track eating healthy tomorrow (since there won't be leftovers).

I like this! My DH could use some cheering up too so I am actively watching this thread and trying to brainstorm. Def think the no leftover thing is a good point if he is trying to eat well....

I don't care how upset DH is.not much will warrant ANAL.... Bring dinner or a dessert home and plan something sweet for the weekend...breakfast in bed, massage from you, massage from dressed up I prefer small things from the heart...
