I am soooooooooooo upset!!!!

we are supposed to go to Israel this Fri and DH boss promised him a bunch of stuff if he doesnt go

I know this guy to be flaky but he did say if DH goes he is not sure what if anything he will have to come back to (DH is a consultant)
I am so upset! not only we are losing on DH's tkt but also on our what was supposed to be DH's bday hotel stay (which I am totally gonna go on my own

) and spending time with my family and friends as he hasnt met my grandparents or any of my friends

W T F????????????????????????
I am so mad at his boss!

I dont want to cancel! I havent been home for two and a half years and havent been on vacation since Aug's mini vacay. I am going

I tried to change the date so its not week and a half but 4 days off for DH and its $735 to change

hmmm ok i know this is also a poopy solution .... I'm not sure what your DH does so i don't know if this can really work ... but can your DH work from Israel? i mean, it would suck that you can't have a real vacation, but maybe it's the best solution?

I mean part of me agrees with Jill in terms of just going on the trip and seeing if this flaky AHOLE boss really puts his money where his mouth is (am I using this expression properly? i'm really bad with expressions). If he follows through on his threat can DH switch to another firm???

I mean honestly, regardless of the trip, I would suggest your DH starts looking for a new job and applying to places because his boss sounds like an unpredictable $*(&^#3%^678** (use your imagination for what I'd really like to be typing)....

DId this AHOLE boss approve the vaca in some sort of system? At my company (and any I've ever worked out) employees submit a vaca request and the boss has to approve it....

ITA with every single part of this statement. If they gave the okay to take the vacation, they can't rescind that! Again, I don't know how it is for consultants- I'm assuming their employment is a little different than a regular full time employee.

its completely different. as a consultant u work only for hrs. so u just tell them I am going and thats it. I was intern and it was the same for me. there are no benefits, ur self employed just work on site.

DH is super stressed, I am super disapointed and my parents are really not sure what but whatever it is it aint good.
oh and now my lil bro tells me why bother coming at all, and I shouldnt come
