I dont know what to do
This is more of a vent then anythingMy brothers and I cant come to an agreement on what to do for my parents 50th anniversary.
A party is out because they dont like parties.
We decided on a weekend trip somewhere but we cant agree on a place.
Atlantic City - my parents go 2x's a month
Cruise- Jerry and I will be going on 2 others within the next year. Also I cant find a 3 day cruise out of NY
1 brother and I like the dude ranch idea- the other brother doesnt.
The other brother wants to do a weekend somewhere in PA AND send my parents away
IDK- I think this is worse than wedding planning- I am feeling sick over this

or how about a cruise-to-nowhere ... or even just a night out in the city / the hamptons?

We are trying to something that my neice and nephew can cme along to. I like the cruise to nowhere but not with the kids

When is it? Maybe go out to like Montauk or since they like AC so much maybe Foxwoods?

Their anniversay is in November but we are thinking about Columbus Day weekend. We kinda wanted to stay away from the casinos since we will have the kids with us.

There are plenty of fun long weekend places to go. What about Boston? Maybe catch a sox game and sigh seeing.CT for Foxwoods and Mystic (maybe go when there is a concert they would enjoy.)
Tell your brothers it is what your parents would enjoy, not what they would like to do. When they are married 50 years they get to pick.

race track, for one. not sure what else (aside from saratoga performing arts center which may or may not have something going on).

what about mount airy!! it combines PA with atlantic city (since now its a casino)my mom loves AC, but lately she has been going to mount airy and she likes it much better!
check it out!
plus its not far from stroudsburg, which is a cute town. there are a bunch of town-ie things to do in the poconos

not far from a six flags if anyone wants that
short drive from albany if you want to see the capital of NY --> in albany they also have a duck tour which is cute

I want to stay away from the casinos for my own reasons but I wanted to send them to Mt Airy! That is where they went on their HM and now its a casino. I thought it would be a great second HM for them. But my brother insists that we do a family thing.

To tell you the truth I dont know why we all have to go with them. We can all go out to eat at a fancy restaurant and give them the trip as a gift.But I am willing to do the family thing but everyone needs to compromise and noone wants to.
