Name Change/Student Loans

Do we need to notify our student loans of our name change? Or can we leave them in our maiden names?

I left mine but I can't see it bring a problem to change it.

Despite the fact that I faxed over necessary documention to change mine they never did. When I received the 1098 E Statement (loan interest paid) it still had my maiden name. My accountant said it is fine as long as I enformed Social Security of my name change. He said they will still have both names listed in their records so its not a big deal.
