NWQOTD 2/23/2011
Good morning ladies!!!!!Today's QOTD is...
What “tricks” do you use to get yourself out of trouble with your DH?
After DH and I have a bad fight..we usually ignore each other. So, to get back on his good side...I try to make little conversations with him about cr@p he loves (and I couldn't care any less about). Then he usually will ramble on and on until he forgets that we were mad at each other. Also, a little sex never hurts either!

It's not really a trick..but when he gets mad at me I always end up crying. And he doesnt like to see me cry.

If we are arguing and Im wrong I'll usually just cool off and say Im sorry and go over and kiss him. He does the same thing. Its the most mature relationship Ive ever had. haha

OMG DH and I do the same thing. Just like yesterday when we were fighting he called and told me about the breeder. The fighting just all disappeared.

Same here. That usually stops him in his tracks, not that I use it as a weapon... usually. The other day we were fighting and I went out to do laundry and DH went out to get something for his car. We both came back with each other's favorite candy as a peace offering.

Re: NWQOTD 2/23/2011
i usually do something silly ... like throw the pillow from the couch on him ... or have a staring / no-smiling 'contest' with him .... it usually leads to us both smiling and we're able to just resolve our issues

I wish 'tricks' worked on DH. I just have to appologise profusely and let him be for a few hours. Damn hot headed Sicillians!

I wish my DH was like that... if I cry he just yells more, making me cry harder. and I'm a big crier.
honestly, when we fight there is no real way out of it. he's stubborn and wont admit when he's wrong. I'm the same way.. but I usually give in and apologize. but he tells me my apologies are halfassed.
lets say we get into a fight over.... forgetting to return a movie.
rather than saying 'i'm sorry i didn't return it on time' i'll say 'i'm sorry you forgot to remind me to return it on time'
that might not be the best example, because usually its something that we both did or didn't do...

Re: NWQOTD 2/23/2011
I cry...which usually works..Or
I just play the unemotional ... 'Fine. You're right, I'm wrong.. Don't worry about it'.... and then he feels all upset and will try to comfort me (cause I don't admit I'm wrong alot... )

Re: NWQOTD 2/23/2011
He plays guitar almost every single day, so if we're both still hurtin' from some b.s. earlier in the day I'll walk in while he's playing and compliment him...or I'll walk in with one of the cats and sing along in a kitty voice. I do these things on a regular basis too, though.Or...this is mildly retarded but whatever...I'll 'talk through' the cats. As in, I will hold one of the cats and say 'poppa, why you still mad wif meeee?'

I apologize and give him his space. No real tricks sadly.

Yeah, I have this problem too. Greeks and Sicilians are very similar.
