NYC Vegetarian Food Festival

I know there are a couple of other veggies on here, and people who are just generally interested in incorporating some vegetarian meals in their diets.

Anyway, there's a FREE veggie food festival happening on April 3rd in the city. Here's in info in case anyone is interested: NYC Vegetarian Food Festival I'll be there!

Candle 79 and the Candle Cafe are both great!

Zen Palate...though some people really hate that place. I personally love it

Maoz Vegetarian is a small falafal chain...really good, kind of a build-your-own falafal joint. There's one in Union Square and a couple in the Times Square area.

Blossom - which is along the lines of Candle 79...more high-end veggie/vegan food.

Pure Food and Wine

Red Bamboo

And for vegan junk food....Foodswings in Brooklyn. It's soooo good but so bad for you. It's nice to get gravy on fries, or a fake friend chicken drumstick every now and then.

One I've been really meaning to try is Dirt Candy down on the lower east side...haven't made it there yet but they have some great reviews!

Re: NYC Vegetarian Food Festival

I just realized I wrote 'fake friend chicken' instead of 'fried'.

I wonder if that's a Freudian slip?

Since I feel like animals are our friends.

Even though I'm a stickler for spelling and grammar...I am not editing that in my other post.

Re: NYC Vegetarian Food Festival

Animals absolutely are our friends! Just a few moments after reading you take on things my little kitten boy came over, jumped on my lap, touched his nose to mine, and walked away. Gosh, I love him!
