My hubby did the 'program' thing at a friends wedding a few years ago, adding 'you can't tell the bride from the groom without a program!' The guests got a kick out of it, so your uncle's behavior there may have been more entertaining than anything - I hope your guests took it that way!

Shamma, I don't know what happen or if it is true. That is what my SIL's said but I didn't get any complaints from my guest. I know after the cake cutting they handed out the desserts, coffee and the brandy and stuff which were in a separate cart. I find it weird too.

I didn't know that my senile great Aunt Helen stole all of the wedding favors from her table!!! I found out after the honeymoon when my mother informed me that Aunt Helen LOVED the favors and the rest of the table would like theirs.....

Natasha, your guess is as good as mine. I'm still not exactly thrilled about her behavior both at the wedding and during the whole pre-wedding process. Sadly, we haven't really spoken much since then.

Mine is not funny or amusing unfortunately...my moms boyfriend who is a recovering alcoholic for the past 8 years fell off the wagon at my wedding and started drinking! He seemed a little strange to me but I didnt realize this until after I came home from hm and mom told me. He started fights with 3 different of our friends and actually had a fight with my dad in the limo on the way home. It is so horrible cause now my wedding day is marked with the fact that my mom lost her significant other of 11 years on my wedding day. She went through a lot with him and this was the last straw.. She is destroyed over it and to be honest... I feel its all my fault.

Noreen-I am so sorry something so sad happened at our wedding. But you shouldn't feel bad, it's not your fault at all!

Karen - I am sure the guests took the program thing as a joke, it was just with all the othe nonsense it disappointed me.

Christine.... I didn't even know till AFTER the honeymoon!! It got brought up one of the first nights we went out upoin arriving home!! I am told, he dropped it,it bounced from the carpet onto the dance floor.... so he's looking around like 'Where's the maitre d? Maybe he'll get another.' He was out of the way for the pics.! So all of our'FRIENDS' are yelling 'Use the fork!!!' so he reaches down,picks it up & feeds his oblivious bride with a dirty fork! My dear hubby!!!!

Well... there was the 'kidnapping' I forgot to mention...

At the rehearsal dinner, I gave my MOH a reproduction Barbie Doll that that was wearing the dress her Barbie always borrowed from my Barbie when we were kids - her favorite black torch singer outfit from the 60's. She loved it, and was distressed when she came back from the ladies room to find someone had hidden it from her She later got it back, but the next day at the wedding, a RANSOM NOTE appeared at her table.

She paid the ransom and happily, Barbie was returned unharmed

I didn't know that the best man made the bar open early and was fighting my DH when DH said he had to come take pictures.

Yeah, he was a prize. During the ceremony, everytime the priest said 'divine' he would go 'devine' under his breath. Devine is my married name. DH said he was driving him crazy!

I also didn't know my bridesmaid puked in the bridal suite, but i don't know if that is true, it came from my other SIL who sometimes stretches the truth.

i didnt know that my CP's were late being delivered and were only set up 10 minutes before they opened the ballroom! my family told me afterwards!!! If I had known that they were running late, I would've freaked!!!!

But all that matters is that they were there and they were gorgeous!!!!

We found out a few weeks afer the wedding that one of DH's co-workers left early b/c he saw a guest from the wedding in the room next to ours who he had arrested a few months back and this guy threatened him in the men's room. He got his date, said bye to us (I had no clue it was early) and left.

When he was telling DH this story he said it was (these are his words, not mine/ours) a 'mafia wedding' next door to ours and that Jericho Terrace is a 'connected' hall.

Even if it is, our day was fabulous!
