random question related to japan nuclear crisis and food

are any of you thinking of changing any of your eating habits?

i eat a lot of seafood, but i think i need to start being more selective and actually pay attention to the source.......

this will be hard for me, but the reports coming from JP are so scary......radioactive water in the oceans?

I haven't read a proper newspaper in ages. So I had no clue this was going on. If I read more on it I would definitely change my habits. But part of me wants to remain living in ignorance.

I don't know...I was worried about it and stopped eating sushi for awhile (aka a few days) but I absolutely love seafood. Until I hear something stating that our fish are all radioactive, I'll probably keep eating it.

i agree with most of this. but lots of our fish is imported. that is why i was asking the question.

i am going to start looking out for fish from New England and Canada

i love seafood too....so i feel so conflicted and sad about this

....one step closer to being a true vegetarian i guess....

Re: random question related to japan nuclear crisis and food

They said on GMA this morning....that the amount of radiation that would be in any fish would be minimal...like the amount you get if you go for a CAT scan...

Well, I eat fish about 3-4 times a week...and I've never had a CAT scan... so I'm thinking I will definately be a bit more selective with fish that could come from the pacific...

Re: random question related to japan nuclear crisis and food

What I read yesterday said that the salt water in the ocean dilutes the radiation so the amount is so minimal that it won't cause any harm.

Re: random question related to japan nuclear crisis and food

I heard this morning that they are worried about the albacore tuna that will make its way from the japan waters. They said they will be doing testing on these fish before selling to the public
