RE: What you do for a living

Is it easy? Do you just follow a routine?

Or do you find it challenging?

I am a litigation paralegal. It is easy and for the most part over 7 years it has become very routine. I look forward and love the challenging days!!

Re: RE: What you do for a living

i work as an admin for a small 'family owned' company... it gets pretty dead here, so i try and keep myself occupied. but it does get very stressful, mostly because i feel like its me against them, and i'm constantly fixing their mistakes.

Re: RE: What you do for a living

for me, it depends on the day ... my most recent project was so boring and mindless (mostly copying and pasting a gazillion times) .... but the project before that was challenging and i actually had to use my noggin.

Re: RE: What you do for a living

My job is very emotionally and mentally challenging. I don't think just anyone could do it....you have to have a backbone and be able to think on your feet to handle the clients that I have. You also have to be able to dissociate yourself, not personalize anything, and be as objective as possible, even when you completely disagree with things.

Re: RE: What you do for a living

I'm an admin for an electrical contractor. I could do my job in my sleep as I've been here for 4 years. Sometimes it's tiring and I'm ALWAYS fixing people's mistakes BUT other times I like it...just not the days where I'm bored...

The only challenging part of my job is not punching MIL in the face.

Regarding the work though, payroll is annoying, but not hard. Sometimes, I don't mind doing a simple personal tax return, but it's not challenging.
I don't handle the business returns, so I guess they're hard, but I don't care.

I am an interdealer preferred stock and bond broker. I am literally the only girl broker in my whole office. I love my job so much - it can be challenging working on only commission
