sort of mad at DH

DH RSVPed for us to go to his cousin's daughter's birthday (she's turning 3) ... BUT he didn't find out the details like when & where.

luckily, we're not already busy that day BUT but we just found out that it's in NJ (an hour and a half drive from us) AND it starts at 10:30am

who the hell has a bday party at 1030am?!??!

can i un-rsvp?

Can you just say that you already had plans that day and he didnt realize before he responded? Then send a gift.

Im sure they wont be mad that youre missing the party.

Re: sort of mad at DH

Yeah I wouldn't have RSVP'd yes to that either. When is it? If it's in like a week or two I'm sure you can say you can't make it. It's not like it's a wedding! lol!

Re: sort of mad at DH

I wouldn't be mad...More aggrivated than anything. My DH does stuff like this all the time. It's annoying and a lot of times we are inconvenienced, but I am sure there a lot more things he has done that made me mad. Explain to your hubby you don't want to go, and either you cancel or he can go alone.

I just got out of a family event that DH 'signed us up' for this weekend - it was like a family dinner with all his aunts and uncles and grandparents and my SIL and BIL were cooking for everyone. I can't stand my SIL so I told DH to call his grandma, tell her we couldn't make it, but we'll do something with just us and them in a few weeks.

Try to come up with a counter-offer... 'Oh we can't make it that day/time... let's set up a time to meet later in the month and we can have a belated celebration?'
