Thanksgiving.

I am really excited that this year I get to cook for thanksgiving. My parents are coming out, so it will be just the 4 of us, so I had only gotten a 5lb turkey.

Does anyone 'brine' there turkey? I've actually never cooked one before and I watched The Chew to get some ideas, and I wanted to try this ...Turkey Brine. Sounded really good.

I'm also making these stuffed artichokes .

Also on the menu;

Mashed Potatoes
Green Beans
Cranberry sauce
Gravy
Dinner Rolls
Cranberry Orange Nut Bread
Pumpkin Pie (Costco brand is awesome!).

Sounds good for 4 people right?

Re: Thanksgiving.

Yes, I've brined the turkey before and it did make a difference IMO..pretty moist!

However, I didn't want to deal with the turkey brining 2 days in advance taking up room ETC so this year I ordered a already brined turkey from whole foods and i'm picking it up on wednesday so took care of one step for me. HOping that its good

mmm stuffed artichokes!!! looks yummy
