Today is 7 years...

since DH and I started dating! I can't believe it's been so long. And we've only been married 116 days, although I would have liked to get married a lot earlier..

Are you girls happy with the amount of time you were dating before you got engaged?

we just passed 6½ years. we were 1 month shy of 4 years when he proposed. and just over 6 years when we were married.

i wanted to get married after a year together... but that obviously didn't happen.

DH and I dated almost 2 years before we got engaged .... it's exactly the right time-frame for me.

it will be 8 years in sept for us!!

i didnt think we would get married when we did

we knew we loved each other bought a house and for me that was enough butttttttttttttttt a few months after we bought the house dh deciced it wasnt enough. who was i to argue with a gorgeous ring. lol

We dated for just over a year before he proposed, and it was perfect

We knew each from the first day we started dating that we were meant to be....

quick back story: we met in 2003, hung out for a few months casually and then i started dating my loser ex-bf seriously again, so that was the end of that. we reconnected in 2008 and the rest is history

DH and I were dating a little less than 2 years when he proposed - the timing was shocking for me because we were 20 and 22 at the time, so I expected to be dating for a little longer than that lol, but I was very happy either way.

DH and I were dating 2 years before we got engaged. It was the perfect time for us. Then we had a 2 year engagement which worked out perfect for us.

We dated for 2.5 years before he proposed. We were together 3.5 years when we got married.
We have been together for 4 years now.
If circumstances had been different I think that we would have gotten married even earlier but it worked out well in the end.

we were dating for 3 years and 8 months when he proposed, got married 1 year and 4 months later so it was right at 5 years when we got married last april.

if circumstances were different, i would have liked to get engaged before having dated for almost 4 years but it, it was it is and i LOVED planning our wedding so as much as i of course love being married and couldnt wait, in retrospect, i coulda went on planning for longer than a year and 4 months. but im happy where we are now, moving on with our lives, to bigger and even better hopefully
