what would you do?

At the beginning of January, I did some work for a company. I told them to please let me know what they thought, so that I could make an necessary changes. I never heard back from them, so I finally just sent an invoice. I did a decent amount of work worth a decent amount of money for them.

As per the invoice, their payment will be due on March 17. On February 18, they said they would send a check next week. I still have not received a check. They have until March 17, but at what point should I send a reminder? The company is not far from my house, so the check should have been here by now if they sent it the week of the 25th.

How do I would it? 'Just want to remind you the payment is due March 17...'

i would wait until the due date comes and if you haven't receieved payment, send a second invoice (clearly marked as such) requesting payment due in full, immediately.

You should wait until the due date. You want to be professional, not pushy.
