Where to go for our 1 year anny....
Joe and I were talking over the weekend, and we want to go away for our 1st anny. I just spoke to my favorite travel lady, and she told me these islands would interest us:Aruba
Paradise Island, Bahamas
St. Lucia
St. Thomas
Barbados
We have been to Mexico, Punta Cana, and Bermuda isn't all inclusive (which we decided we want since Hawaii wasn't...).
Can you recommend any hotels?

yeah but we got the more expensive room. they have a range. i think sandals in ocho rios is the cheapest

I'm 100% for aruba because i honeymooned there and I love it... but if you are looking for all-inclusive go elsewhere. every couple we met who did one of three all inclusive hotels on the island complained about it. if you go to aruba you want to do non-all-inclusive.

I absolutely love Paradise Island. The beach there is so stunning. One of my favorite all time beaches. Atlantis or the One and Only Ocean are both stunning but $$. For something more reasonable, but still nice try the Sheraton.

Aruba is AMAZING!!!!! We went for our honeymoon and loved it! We want to go back. sooo amazing...best weather....best food. You cant go wrong.

And check out deals on CheapCaribbean.comThis is how I book my trips to the Islands. Some are all inclusive...some aren't.
They included the flights. Great prices! Cant be beat!

DH and I fell in love with Couples in Jamaica when we went for our HM. I finally convinced him to go back for our 1 year

personally, lol, I don't know if your a fan of the water, but I just recently did a cruise, and I didn't want to get off the boat. LOL.I'd shoot for that if you could. We had a BLAST and everything was pretty much taken care of.

I second a cruise! I've stopped at some of those places on my cruises. Some will even leave from NY!

I second a cruise! I've stopped at some of those places on my cruises. Some will even leave from NY!
yeah seriously that drink package was a lifesaver...that would have been one large bill. ours was a 7 day cruise that stopped at 5 islands....st croix, st. kitts, dominca, grenada and tabago, was not crazy about tabago, st. kitts was my favorite, and dominca had the best snorkeling!!!

so if we were to do a cruise, there are drink packages we can buy? Cause, ahem, I like my drinks...
thats why we usually do all inclusives. but that cruise sounds good too.

aruba: occidental is an awesome all inclusive! if you're into being in the water constantly, i didn't think the water there was that nice - i thought it was chilly and too salty!paradise island: we stayed at riu (all inclusive) for our hm and it was horrible. it's the only all inclusive on paradise island. the water was beautiful though and the atlantis was realllly nice (but again, not ai)!
st lucia: dunno anything about it
st thomas: we looked into all inclusives there for our hm and the only one we found that looked nice was the ai package at the ritz. my dad cautioned me that outside the resorts st thomas isn't nice - apparenlty even more so than you expect with leaving resorts on vacation.
barbados: dunno anything about it either

DH and I went to Aruba 2yrs ago and LOVED it. The weather was beautiful the entire trip. We stayed at the Marriott Surf Club. When we go back Id like to go to the Renaissance. Only thing I didnt like about Aruba was the meals were expensive. But other than that you cant go wrong.

St. Lucia was VERY nice. We went there on our honeymoon and it was great. However, there isn't much to do. Not really a life outside of the Sandalls so you might want to think about that.I went to Aruba 2 years ago and LOVED IT! DH and I wish we went there instead of St. Lucia for the honeymoon. It was beautiful and LOTS to do. We stayed at the Occidental but the best one I heard is the Riu which is right next door.
I'm partial though to St. Thomas! It's my favorite island BY FAR! It's GORGEOUS! Megan's Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. My cousin went for her honeymoon and said she stayed at an all inclusive but I'm not too sure which one.
Did you look into St. Maarten? I don't know about all inclusives but if they do check that out too. LOTS to do and beautiful. PLUS you can go over to St, Barts for the day and my other cousin said that was breath taking (she went for her honeymoon).
I'm sorry I don't know anything about Barbardos or Paradise Island, other then I know I want to go to both at one point in my life with DH!
