It actually has great review on Tripadvisor!
sadly, its a different maplewood b&b...the one we are going to is in hinsdale and it is not even reviewed on tripadvisor

There were a few non gifters, but I think the worst was DH's super RICH friend. He is the most loaded person I know, brought a date, and gave nothing.

we recieved a picture frame that was pretty dusty, and upon looking at it a bit further, I found a picture of the couple behind the paper insert.

o gosh, i had to log-in for this oneaside from the no gifters...
one person who was invited to shower AND wedding, did not attend shower but sent us stuff off registry -- it was 2 $9 pillows and a small fruit bowl. the total was like $25
sent a TY card after shower...then wedding rolls around. no gift. DH mentioned something to her in passing and she said that was the WEDDING GIFT
really?!?!?! and she brought a date too!!!!

. i think it wouldve been better to have gotten a blank card in that case. but really a $20 bill?!? but since she came solo, i cant say it was the worst gift. The $25/2 people was worse. this one kind of amused me!!!!

i have a cousin who mentioned to DH & i before the wedding that he was going to buy us barware ... i told him thanks but no thanks as DH already had a fully equipped bar ... so what does he bring to the wedding? a box of drink glasses (which we've since given to my sister who actually needed them) and a box of martini glasses (which we already have) and a drink book ...

we got a card from one of our guests with a losing lottery ticket in it. The card was a hilarious card, and it was just signed 'xo-Paco'. We do not know anyone named Paco and to this day have no idea who gave it to us

My maid of honor was living in Austrailia at the time we ordered the dresses so...not only did I PAY FOR HER DRESS (still waiting to get paid back)...she never paid my matron of honor for her share of the bacherlorette party....and she didn't give a gift for my wedding and I havent received a call nor a card for my birthday....I would say that getting blown off THREE TIMES by your best friend of 21 years is probably the worst gift we got!

Hmm, well...we got a couple non-gifters.My best friend and bridesmaid gave me a gift the day before the wedding with trinkets (post-it notes with the letter D, magnets, etc.) I thought it was just a little extra present (there was no card)...then we got nothing else? Odd.
A couple other honorable mentions:
- The couple that gave us 2 cookie/baking sheets.
- The couple that gave us a pot holder, set of coasters and $20 gift card to Bed Bath & Beyond
