x-post 2011 : What should I do??

If people come to your wedding, but don't give a gift, do you send a thank you card just saying 'thanks for coming' or don't send one??

I'll tell you that the three people I'm talking about is
1) My maid of honor/best friend (who claims she left the gift at home but has yet to mail it out or give it to me, but there are other issues with our friendship since our wedding)

2) My sister in law...but she's on her own planet most of the time anyway...

3) My DH's cousin (which i think he didn't give a gift bc he was an OOTer and doesn't really have a high paying job)


What would you do?? TIA!

I'm thinking of just sending the TY's and say, 'Thank you for attending the wedding.'

I'm just going to write thanks for coming - hope you had fun.

It irritates me a little but at the end of the day I really dont care enough to make a point.

I would just write thank you for celebrating our wedding with us.


ETA:
The situation with your MOH may be harder. I plan to write her an extensive thank you. I think if your MOH was great other than the whole gift situation.. you should thank her for be such a big part of your day.

Just write your thank yous as you normally would (without the thanks for the gift). My MOH said the same thing to us....its over a year later and we never got a gift.

I plan on just writing the same as I would without the thank you for the thoughtful gift

We just wrote thank you for sharing in our special day. I still haven't received a gift from one of my bridesmaids. But I rather be the one doing the right thing then not.
