I'm so sorry to hear that. Things are crazy with this economy. Keep writing to your representatives and Cuomo to tell them not to cut education!!

It is def nerve-racking. I'm sorry you were excessed TWICE, that really suckss

On the bright side- the same district re-hired me BOTH times due to people leaving. However, for the entire months of May and June they pretty much told me I had a job one day..then two days later they'd say I didn't. It can be very frustrating and hard.
Just try and stay positive. In the 3 years I've been in this district they told me about 8 different times I wouldn't have a job the next year. I still had a job. People retire or leave the district. You never know what could happen.

Best advice anyone ever gave me: Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst.

Ugh! This is horrible! I find out tomorrow if I'm excessed! I'm sure you can find out where you are on the seniority list. Contact HR. We were able to look at ours and there were some mistakes that had to be fixed.

It's a shame that out of all the things in the state they have to cute education costs and teachers. Isn't education the most important thing growing up and don't people want their kids getting the best education? If they need to cut in schools, cut somewhere else, don't cut teachers!
