Re: cheaters
That's pretty sad to see. I know exactly what you mean though. One of my highschool friends was supposed to get married on May 1st, 2010. About 2 months before the wedding, she called it off because she was prego with another dude's baby!
Then another highschool friend got married at City Hall out of the blue with some English dude she had known for a few months last Fall. I kinda
but thought, 'Hey, as long as she's happy.' Sooooo I just randomly wander over to her FB page and they're divorced and she's dating some new guy now. Is marriage really that light of a thing to some people?! I mean, I know it is in Hollywood, but I thought real life people took it a bit more seriously than that. It's really sad.

Re: cheaters
It really makes me sick, I think people should just own up to their actions or simply say they are no longer happy instead of taking the coward way out by cheating.A few months ago, a close friend of ours; his wife cheated on him with another one of our friends. It was such a sticky situation. It was awful to see them go threw that.

Re: cheaters
One of my BMs was engaged in 2009 to someone she dated in high school. He ended up cheating on her, like full on relationship with some other girl in his office. She tried to make it work with him after he apolozied over and over again. Well the lying A$$HOLE was cheating on her still with the same girl while he was telling my BM that he loved her and was going to counseling with her.He got his though which while I don't talk to her anymore (she ended up getting engaged to someone else 6 months after she broke off the first engagement), I'm happy that he got what he deserved (lost his job, got broke, etc).

This is the scary thing - I don't think he's 'unhappy' in his marriage. I think he wants his cake and to eat it too. They married young, and now nearly 4 years later, I think he's thinking about all of those college days that he missed out on by partying and being reckless and such. And now he's kind of living that out, except he has a wife. I hope he comes to his senses really soon because it's just bothersome to know this kind of situation.

Re: cheaters
What I don't understand is that at some point, the person who is doing the cheating loved, respected (etc) the person they married....Even if their feelings/priorities have changed, have enough respect for the other person, for what was their marriage, for themselves for crying out loud.. to end things before taking up with someone else. It's just the right thing to do.
It definitely bites to see this stuff...

IMO that's what is super scary - that he probably does really love her but he is being pulled in all these different directions and the ONE person he should be talking to about how he feels is his wife, and the person who in the end he is going to hurt the most.
I hope something stops him in his tracks before it gets out of control and they both get hurt. As their friend, it totally stinks to have this weight on your shoulders. I hope something is resolved sooner then later.

I know I'm only 25, but I really feel like people rush into marriage and get married way too young or way too quickly. It's a shame that this is how it ends up.

Re: cheaters
It is very heartbreaking to hear stories like this. My observation is that people really don't take marriage seriously OR take it for granted.....It is so easy to say 'marriage takes work' but I think it comes down to having a heightened awareness of what that really means coupled with putting in the time and emotion.
But, what do I know?! I've only been married 7 months
In all seriousness, I get really upset hearing about situations like the one above...

Ugh, I totally hear you on that. Some of you might remember, but I posted a month or two back about friends of ours that got married in October and the wife found out something awful about the husband. They are going through a very nasty divorce. It's really, truly sad.Welcome New Vendors
