Re: xpost from LIF Pets

I had a dog who used to get sick too. Eventually she just got used to it and it stopped. But it took her a little while. I would take her for short rides to adjust and always brought plastic bags and napkins. I would pull over when she would dry heave and have her puke on the bag.

Good luck! Hopefully he stops when hes a bit older.

Re: xpost from LIF Pets

Do you think he gets car sick or he gets nervous and works himself up into vomiting?

Would a thundershirt help him in the car?

At first I thought he was nervous because he didnt want to go in the car but yesterday while we were packing the car he jumped in by himself and sat there like- ok lets go I am ready. Then he got sick 3 times.

Maybe I will try the thundershirt

Since he started getting sick one of always sits in the back with him to keep him calm and to have the paper towels and bags ready. I hope he does grow out of it because we go out to Greenport often and I hope he gets used to it

I had a dog who used to get car sick often too. I pretty much did the same things as mentioned... i would line the entire backseat in towels or try to pull over if she was heaving at all. I hate that though
