Xpost: Sandals HM brides, please weigh in!

Did you book a Concierge or Butler room? If so, did you feel it was worth the extra money?

For those who DID NOT book Concierge or Butler, did you feel you missed out? Did you have trouble getting dinner reservations?

Thanks for the info!

Re: Xpost: Sandals HM brides, please weigh in!

We had a butler and liked having them. It was a fun perk to have on our HM but did we need it?? Not really!

They had reservations for dinner already booked upon our arrival and we ended up having to change them due to scheduling conflicts.

We met a lot of people who didnt have butlers and had no problems getting reservations.

But having the butler for other things was great and a fun perk to have.

Feel free to FM me with additional ques.

You can use the money you'd spend on a butler, and go on a bunch of different excursions while you're there and get a candle light dinner Or a couple's massage...Oh man I want to go back!

Thanks, ladies! We are looking at Concierge Level, but I am open to looking at the more 'standard' rooms too.

Re: Xpost: Sandals HM brides, please weigh in!

The Butler was PHENOMENAL

It made our vacation, honestly.

You get so many perks with butler service. We ended up with a private car transfer both ways. We got into every restaurant we wanted. If you don't have buterl or concierge, you'trer limited by the hours the restaurants are open (which can be pretty limited), and even with concierge, you're limited by the room service menu, but with Buterl service you get 24/ 7 room (or beach, or poolside) service from the room service menu or you can order from ANY restaurant menu. Want the entree from one restaurant, and dessert from another? You can have it. We were able to get 2 reservations at the amazing french restaurant but cancelled the secnd in favor of having ti delivered to our room.

We'd come home from excursions to find snacks in our room, or dessert, depending on the time of day, a bubble bath drawn and music playing. Our room was completely cleaned up every day. I mean clothes folded, everything put away, towel animals, rose petals on the bed, you name it.

I forgot my glasses when I went to the beach, my butler went and got them. He also brought a cooler with our favorite drinks, which our room was stocked with at all times because we had butler service.

Any little problem we had, any request, they took care of it. It was amazing. Totally worth it, IMO.

Re: Xpost: Sandals HM brides, please weigh in!

They also decorated the room and brought us a cake and made a bubble bath for DH's birthday.

We were in a Butelr only area of the resort, so any time we'd get on the bus to go back up, or walk out of the area people would ask how we were doing and ask our room number. i think they used that to communicate with the butlers when we were out of the room, or at the pool, etc so they could surprise us. Although the butlers did have our whole schedule.

Not to mention we never had to fight for a chair on the beach or at the pool. The butler would reserve it and escort us there. No towels in the pool area? no problem! The butler will bring it.

We stayed at Sandals La Toc and I wish I had spent more time at the resort and less on excursions. they were the least enjoyable part, honestly. We did enjoy the couples massage, and the scuba diving which were both at the resort. I'd rather spend the money being pampered at the resort by my butler. I wish I ahdn't wasted money on so many excursions and had just gotten to enjoy the resort more

Re: Xpost: Sandals HM brides, please weigh in!

We booked a Concierge Room and we definitely didn't need it. But more than that, I wanted to make sure we had a nice room - I was afraid some of the standard rooms would have not been as nice, so regardless of getting the Concierge as a perk (nice for making reservations), it wasn't really necessary.

Since we had that level room, I'm not sure how the standard rooms compare, but I was very happy with size and space of our Concierge room.

This is exactly how I feel! I dont want a garden view or some smaller room, and the Concierge level rooms seem nicer overall.

Thanks for the info!

Re: Xpost: Sandals HM brides, please weigh in!

and since I have spoken with Marie, now I am leaning towards the split stay. My TA disagrees with me but I think that's because he may lose out on something when I dont do 6 consecutive nights at one resort. Oh well.
