The theme for our wedding was the Great Gatsby. I knew I wanted a vintage feel since the Bourne Mansion really transports to another time, but couldn't pin point the exact period I wanted to channel. After reading The Great Gatsby and seeing the movie, I knew that I wanted to replicate that time period for our wedding. My dress had a vintage feel to it already, so I paired it with platform T-strap heels and a faux bob-cut updo, as well as very heavy dark eyes so I could look like the girls from that era.

Some special touches we added to our wedding were a basket filled with feather clips for all the girls so they could feel like flappers, a caricature artist that our guests went crazy over, and a hot pretzel cart outside the Bourne that was a huge hit as everyone was leaving for the night. I designed all the paper goods and signs because I was so picky that the whole wedding had to be cohesive with the theme. When our guests walked into cocktail hour, we had our DJ play only 1920's band music and our friends and family all stated that they felt like they were all transported to another time. It was a huge success and we were so happy with all our vendors!
